dicksbro 01-30-2007 06:18 PM

Aluminum or steel rims wheels for you car?

IowaMan 02-04-2007 08:43 AM

I guess I'll go for aluminum but I don't really give much thought to it anymore. Now if you'd have asked me that 20 yrs ago when I thought life revolved around what kind of rims to put on my Camaro..........

Try this one again since it's Super Bowl Sunday:

IowaMan 02-06-2007 05:36 PM

I'm a meat & potatoes kind of guy so it's a tough call. I'll go with the protein this time around and take a second helping of the carbs too. :D

Cream soda vs. Root beer

dicksbro 02-06-2007 06:00 PM

Another tough call with a slight edge going to root beer. Ever since as a kid, root beer from the local A&W was a treat to be savored. :)

IowaMan 02-06-2007 06:18 PM

grl2naughty 02-06-2007 07:27 PM

Halloween.

Christmas vs. Thanksgiving

IowaMan 02-06-2007 07:41 PM

I actually prefer Thanksgiving. I think it's because there hasn't been a big holiday for quite some time prior to it. With Christmas you've got all the time leading up to it that can be stressful. I don't get depressed if I'm alone on Thanksgiving.

Turkey vs. Ham

dicksbro 02-08-2007 04:20 AM

Ham. Turkey is one of those two or three times a year meats whereas ham is an everyday kind of food.

Probably pottage ...

IowaMan 02-10-2007 07:23 AM

Banana. I'd eat a whole box of the things if there wasn't someone there to stop me.

Fast food chicken sandwiches: regular vs. spicy.

dicksbro 02-10-2007 07:54 AM

Tough choice. Depends on the day, but maybe a small edge to regular.

IowaMan 02-10-2007 08:08 AM

Definitely spring. When IowaMan's thoughts turn to love and baseball. :loveshowe:

Reading a murder mystery book or watching a murder mystery movie/TV show?

dicksbro 02-11-2007 05:26 AM

Usually I read non-fiction (especially history) and watch fiction (especially mysteries or comedies) ... so, I guess movie/TV.

Going for a walk or going for a ride?

IowaMan 02-11-2007 08:12 AM

It used to be that I'd say a walk but since it's so incredibly cold here right now and there aren't really a lot of sights to see here I'll take the ride in the car.

Pineapple vs. Coconut

dicksbro 02-13-2007 06:11 AM

Pineapple

jseal 02-13-2007 03:13 PM

dicksbro 02-14-2007 07:23 AM

Usually it's the latter, but I really like the her to be on top.

jseal 02-14-2007 10:51 AM

Side mostly

dicksbro 02-15-2007 05:01 AM

Used to be westerns ... probably SciFi now.

Crayons or colored pencils?

IowaMan 02-15-2007 07:46 AM

Probably colored pencils. Although with the way that I draw I am better suited for crayons. :(

Oatmeal: flavored vs. regular

dicksbro 02-15-2007 05:46 PM

Flavored although I'm not a big oatmeal fan.

An exciting close game where your team loses or a boring, terribly played game where your team wins?

IowaMan 02-15-2007 08:00 PM

I've spent way too much time playing sports in my life, there's no way I can settle for losing a good game. Gotta go with the winning ugly if these are my two choices.

Velveeta vs. American cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich

dicksbro 02-16-2007 05:01 AM

American ... at least that's what we always use.

Cheese fondue or cheese balls?

IowaMan 02-16-2007 06:40 AM

I'm going to go with the fondue but only because when I hear the words "cheese balls" I think of fermunda cheese........ you know, cheese fermunda my balls. :yikes:

Skippy vs. JIF peanut butter

dicksbro 02-16-2007 06:58 AM

I always liked Skippy, but my wife usually buys JIF. I'm mellowing, though. Now I'll even go with Kroger's label. :)

IowaMan 02-17-2007 08:26 AM

IowaMan 02-18-2007 08:07 AM

I guess I order sirloin more often. Love the one at the Outback Steakhouse. Certainly wouldn't turn down a ribeye though.

Jello vs. Pudding

dicksbro 02-18-2007 04:33 PM

I like both. Usually jello if I have cold or sore throat and even more so with fruit sliced up in it with whipped cream on top ... pudding is a great after dinner treat and, there again, I like it with whipped cream on top. Anyway, I guess pudding by a narrow margin.
