Naked fat ladies. It's like being gently cleansed of all kinds of negativity around bodies.

Get back on the message, LS.
All naked ladies. |
I didn't say that all ladies weren't sexy, or shouldn't be naked. I just prefer the terminology "pleasantly plump" to "fat". After all, aren't all naked ladies pleasant to the eye?
|
Yep.

Your preference, Lord Snow, while common, is by no means universal. I've got no problem with the word "fat," and there are plenty more where I came from. It's a descriptor, just like the word "tall," "brunette," or "funny," all of which I am, as well. I don't need euphemisms, even if others do, because I stopped drinking the cultural Kool-aid that being fat is wrong, bad, something to be ashamed of or apologize for, or any other negative thing we've put on it. It's just one way of having a body; we've all got 'em, and they're all different, and that's really, truly OK. And I was looking at some fine fat ladies who are totally fine with being called fat, because, hey! they are! :) And I know I'm not alone in enjoying that--I know there are a few Pixies who look at and enjoy my photos BECAUSE I'm fat, not in spite of it. |
I look at you because you're you.
|
I have to agree with Oldfart on that one AZ. I look at you because you are nothing more than one sexy AZ. I don't have a problem with the word fat. I prefer the pleasantly plump term simply because it's more fun to say (I love alliteration), and because I will shamelessly flatter any and all women I enjoy being around. Besides, fat is just to short a word for me to use around (unfortunately) quite a few people who don't have the extensive vocabulary that I enjoy and it's fun to watch their heads tilt to the side when I use odd phrases.

Damn fine bushcraft. |
We tracked the Wily White Pine through a copse of Douglas Firs. It almost evaded capture by playing possum, but to no avail; I have it standing in a corner of the living room by the front windows.

The Archbishop of Canterbury and The
Royal Commission for Political Correctness announced today that the climate in the UK should no longer be referred to as 'English Weather' Rather than offend a sizeable portion of the UK population, it will now be referred to as: 'Muslim Weather' ( Partly Sunni, but mostly Shi'ite ) |
We have a shared office fridge and people put their names on their stuff. Today, I noticed cans of soda labeled with the names of various Mel Brooks movie characters. Made my morning.
|
I haven't looked out, yet, but we're suppose to have a light snow on the ground this morning. :)

The modern trend of celebrating everything with a coin.
Our latest 20cent coin. |
Coins ... aren't they those things that seem to keep dropping in value until they get old encough that almost no one remembers them ... and then their value shoots up dramatically? :spin:
|
No, they are the metal disks we use as spacers when setting tiles, then we can trade them for small drinks.
|
Wait I thought coins were the little disks that are made out of metal more valuable than the face value of the disk.

Only sometimes.

The joys of living in the hot places. This story would be more interesting if it had happened in Cleveland or Boston, but here goes anyway.

An excellent performance of G.F. Handel’s “Messiah”.

I love "Messiah".

The conductor is big on “period authenticity”, and had a counter tenor sing what is commonly sung by an Alto. She used natural trumpets in her attempt to get closer to the sound she thinks was heard in Dublin these many years ago.
She did herself proud this afternoon, IMHO. |
OF, that's an interesting encounter.
