All sent. He'll get in. Not a difficult school to get in. He's worked hard and could choose other wise but this place has the major he wants.

Unfortunately there are a lot of majors out there that are cool as hell, but ultimately worthless in the job market. I hope his choice isn't one of those.

His is probably useless but it is his dream and I will encourage him to chase it.

forgetting my friend's birthday, never did that before

It's the forgetting the friend that's the cruncher. Birthdays are OK.

My kid and his girlie are away at a Model UN event and girlie is having long seizures. Hopefully the hospital where they are staying has them stopped long enough for them to get back to school.

The rain, both because more than one day of rain at a stretch brings me down, and because it may well kill the potential audience for our outdoor gig tomorrow.

Can't help it. I didn't even realize I had S.A.D. until I moved here. I think I was depressed the whole time I lived in Minnesota.

A "Fast and Furious" actor has died in a car crash. Sad, in of itself, but made sadder by the TMZ release on the accident.

"Celebrity news website TMZ says the 40-year-old actor was in a Porsche with one other person when the car lost control and hit a post or tree in Santa Clarita, killing both occupants."

The car lost control? Either he was test-driving DARPA's new toy or a subtle removal of blame is happening. It wasn't me, it was the car. It wasn't me, it was the gun. It wasn't me, it was my dick that did it. Sheesh!

The dreary weather...very depressing

The father of a childhood friend passed away over the weekend after a major stroke. Very sad that I can't attend the service for him.
