Hasn't yet ... but a little later this morning a couple of us guys are going to visit a good friend who suffers from Alzheimer's. I know we'll feel pretty good after the visit. Hoping it brings him some happiness, too, although we're not sure if he'll recognize us. Just before Christmas we saw him and while he didn't know our names he seemed to recognize us and he smiled a lot. Actually talked some ... about the best day he'd had in quite a while. Like to see today be another day like that.

Even without the recognition, if he's happy to have visitors, it's good.

Kuwait has just stuffed up majorly.

A Kazakh sporting team got a place in the Kuwaiti Games, and during medal presentation the spoof national anthem from the movie "Borat" was played instead of the genuine anthem. This is a double blunder in that they did it to the shooting team.

One of my students amazed me and her family at a very public family event, I had the honor of being invited to. She has come so far. She has gone from a screaming speechless frustrated child to a young lady who could dance with her mother at her wedding. I cried more for the flower girl than the bride :p
