Word that a lapsed Pixie has given birth to a baby boy. I pray that the child will bring peace to the chaos.

Oldfart, I've yet to hear of a household where there is a newborn and peace.

It's too early yet.......

Not having to find my own place, my sis has decided to move to Colorado since all her kids and grandkids are there and new twin grandbabies due in April. Kiddo and I will stay in this little house for now. :)
Hope she finds a job fast, she wants to move in November. |
My brother's pitt got to come home from the animal hospital. Yesterday was scary! It wasn't a dog fight like we originally thought...their mastiff pounced on her playing (they are normally great playmates) and squished her a little...sent her into shock. She's doing MUCH better today and is on her way back to health.

This is an example of just how ridiculous glitches can hurt us. From the OZ ABC news site,
A French woman who received a telephone bill for an amount equivalent to nearly 6,000 times the country's annual economic output has had the real amount she owed waived - after finally convincing the company they must have made a mistake. Solenne San Jose, from Pessac in the Bordeaux region of south-western France, could not believe her eyes when she opened the bill to discover she was being asked to pay 11,721,000,000,000,000 euros ($A14,676,614,570,049,452) to close her account. "There were so many zeroes I couldn't even work out how much it was," she said. Ms San Jose's alarm increased when operators at Bouygues Telecom told her they could not amend the computer-generated statement or stop the balance from being debited from her bank account. Only after a series of frantic calls did the company finally admit the bill should have been for 117.21 euros. Bouygues Telecom said the mix-up had been due to a printing error and a subsequent misunderstanding between the client and staff at their call centre. AFP "after finally convincing . . ." Sheesh! |

Finding, totally by chance, a Christmas gift for my dad. In OCTOBER! He is so hard to buy for, that this is really a gift for me, too.

Listening my wonderful husband open the door of our new home to one little trick-or-treater after another. He sure loves the little ones. :)

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. An apple a day keeps the doctor away too. Though I'm not sure that's relevant. |
