F … I had not heard of this Irish harvest blessing until your post. Interesting … and it looks like it's celebrated in Scotland and a couple of other places. Us … well, we have our Pumpkin Festival in September.

T or F: You have a local "Fall Festival" where you live.

gekkogecko 08-02-2019 09:10 AM

True, within walking distance, even. I'm usually too busy with s/f convention planning to go, though.

T or F: Your housapartment has a big vermin (flies, ants, roaches, mice, what have you) problem.

PantyFanatic 08-02-2019 08:45 PM

No thank you. But last year I had a hell of a time with fruit flies. They are so tiny I found it hard to deal with them. Every time I seemed to get ahead they would come right back more numerous. So far this year I'm good and made sure they didn't get a start.

T or F? This year seems to be going past WAY to fast.

gekkogecko 08-03-2019 09:42 AM

True...another hatching anniversary coming up.

T or F: Your workload just got heavier, for whatever reason.

dicksbro 08-04-2019 03:03 AM

F … or I should say I got a lot to do, but, it's not because of a "change" in load … just finding the time to get everything done. :(

T or F: You're already tired of the next "election" campaigning.

gekkogecko 08-04-2019 11:36 AM

So much true at the last election.

T or F: you ive on the same block as a public school.

PantyFanatic 08-05-2019 12:30 AM

I was tired of it over a year ago when it OPENLY started from both sides. I guess a half year of actually 'GOVERNING" is all we should expect from any of them.

PantyFanatic 08-05-2019 12:34 AM

:o Sorry. That should just be a sub-note to DB.

dicksbro 08-05-2019 02:55 AM

Responding to our Gecko, not a public school … but a parochial one. Is that close enough? :)

T or F: You enjoy sitting by a lake, bay or ocean and just watching the waves as the wash up against the shore.

kleclere 08-05-2019 07:11 AM

True but haven't been able to in a while.

T or F: You feel at home in the country as well as the city.

gekkogecko 08-05-2019 08:57 AM

Probably false, though I really wouldn't know until I tried it.

T or F: The trash and recycling in your home is piling up faster than you can get rid of it.

dicksbro 08-06-2019 12:04 AM

Sometimes, that's for sure. Hard to believe how quickly things can accumulate … especially things that are main good only for pitching out. :(

T or F: You're planning a dinner out for you and your SO in the near future.

gekkogecko 08-06-2019 04:17 AM

Mostly true. Have a hatching day coming up, bunch of people are invited.

T or F: Traffic in your area is often blocked due to road maintenance.

dicksbro 08-06-2019 11:12 PM

Kinda true. No road work near the house but construction on a school sometimes blocks our normal way of heading to a store or off to see a movie. Oh well, I think they're getting near done … maybe another couple of weeks or so.

T or F: You enjoy the old classics like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca?

PantyFanatic 08-07-2019 01:00 AM

BOGIE :line: You have never been more right. So I guess it's true. The Treasure Of Sierra Madre is the single best movie of all time for me. I find it a moral parable as well as good entertainment for every person. I feel blessed as I managed to pass along to my kids appreciation for the classics.

T or F? You feel todays multiplex movie goers are missing something in the 50 seat closets with the 6x10 foot screen. :rolleyes2

kleclere 08-07-2019 07:21 AM

False: sometimes the cinema gives you a good experience.

T or F: Sometimes the simple less thing is the best.

dicksbro 08-07-2019 11:35 PM

True.

T or F: When you go to the movies, you like to get popcorn with butter on it.

gekkogecko 08-08-2019 06:46 AM

T or F: You've caught a summer cold.

kleclere 08-08-2019 08:46 AM

False. Luck so far.

T or F: You maybe looking for a new car.

dicksbro 08-09-2019 01:51 AM

F right now, but in the next year or two it's a real possibility (new or newer).

T or F: You like spicy foods.

kleclere 08-13-2019 10:09 PM

True when in the mood.

T or F: You have big plans for the coming long weekend.

gekkogecko 08-14-2019 09:28 AM

True; another local gaming convention coming up.

T or F:
Packaging materials from deliveries tend to accumulate in your household.

kleclere 08-14-2019 03:41 PM

True have 3 boxes waiting for trash.

T or F: You are hoping for a little loving tonight.

dicksbro 08-15-2019 02:19 AM

Always true. :)

T or F: You love cucumbers.

dicksbro 08-15-2019 02:21 AM

T … always. :D

T or F: You love cucumbers with lemon pepper.

gekkogecko 08-15-2019 04:07 AM

False, I find cucumbers vapid.

T or F: the banana blight has you worried

dicksbro 08-16-2019 01:24 AM

T - I had heard that many varieties of bananas have disappeared or are in danger of disappearing. That's be a shame. I love bananas. Hmmm … does that make me a Minion?

kleclere 08-21-2019 07:38 AM

True the bananas disappearing does worry me.

T or F: You think we could use more rain.

gekkogecko 08-21-2019 09:18 AM

False, because I am unsure of the amount we've had lately compared to average rainfall.

T or F: You re looking forward to the coming equinox.

kleclere 08-21-2019 12:58 PM

False because that means that it will start to get cold and you won't be able to see all the women mostly undressed in public.

T or F: You would like to be able to just spend a quiet night at home.

dicksbro 08-22-2019 12:08 AM

True . Quiet nights and even mornings would be nice especially cuddled up to my other half.

T or F: Cuddling up to your SO is always a pleasure.

gekkogecko 08-22-2019 04:06 AM

True.

T or F: Physical health issues prevent you from doing the above as often as you'd like.

dicksbro 08-23-2019 03:21 AM

F - more a case of too many things going on in our lives to give us the time we'd like to have. :(

T or F: You've taken one or more river cruises on an old-fashioned riverboat.

dicksbro 08-24-2019 02:44 AM

F - although I got a note from OldFart and HE DID! Lucky duck.

T or F: You've descended into a salt mine.

gekkogecko 08-24-2019 08:57 AM

False, although contrary to rumor, I've heard they're rather dry and pleasant to work in.

T or F: You've climbed trees after childhood.

dicksbro 08-25-2019 01:07 AM

T … although not for a very long time. Wouldn't now unless something serious compelled me to. Just too old for doing things like that.

T or F: You've ridden on a submarine.

gekkogecko 08-25-2019 09:20 AM

False. No realneed or opportunity.

T or F: You anticipate need to mow the lawn at least two more times this season.

dicksbro 08-26-2019 04:15 AM

T … especially with the rain passing through the area. I was amazing how the last couple showers brought back the color green to a lot of brown yards. Bet in a week, we'll be doing the mowing again.

kleclere 08-26-2019 07:01 AM

False no mowing for me.

T or F: You enjoy a good night out every once in awhile.
