I know the tax is 14%. (dropped 1% starting August 1, 2006) Did you get a Friday night rate by chance? Remember, they have different rates for different days of the week and different week rates for different parts of the season.

I'll check and see if there is any reduction since I last talked to them. That would be a nice surprise :D

We'll be there on Thursday afternoon and hope anyone there early looks us up on Friday if nothing else. We're wanting to take in the "Maid of the Mist" ride and maybe look around some and the company would be fun. We'll be staying at the Day's Inn North of the Falls. (I think that's where most of us are staying.)

When I reserved the room on the internet I was also given a lower rate. We will be arriving in the afternoon on Friday.

I was just thinking about this thread on the way home from work today. Spotted a vanity license plate:

The Farts know where you are staying so you may hear from them. They plan to do the Misty Maid thing too.

The same rooms we had reserved are now almost 70 Loonies cheaper for the Saturday night and 20 Twonies ;) less for Friday night. Even with the hefty 14% Kanuck tax added on, that’s only 129.60 greenback for Friday and 161 on Saturday. Not bad at all for the height of tourist season for the lucky Pixies that ARE GOING TO BE AT PAGAN. :D
