Does anyone miss family at the holidays and get blue?

I do miss family members who don't live close by, but I'm not sure I get blue over that. Only if I had to be away from my wife during the holidays. That'd make me sad.

Ever get the urge to have your car re-painted?

Yes. I bought a 1971 Mini Cooper this summer. It has a fairly new paint job that looks good, but there are a few well hidden spots of rust.... I really want to get it all stripped down and redone...

Ever make an outrageous spontaneous purchase? (See above paragraph for mine)

Outrageous - no . . . I did blow $80 on French lessons in cassette form and they're at my mother's house. I want them!

What do you consider strange about your family?

My mother.

Just kidding.

I thought for years that I was adopted. Seriously. My mom and dad both had brown hair and brown eyes, as did my slightly younger sister. Needless to say, I was *much* relieved when I was almost twelve and my baby brother was born--with my blonde hair and blue eyes.

How far will you travel this holiday season?

How long did your mailman have that same route?:) lol

What's the furthest you've ever traveled for the holidays?

Flew from Ontario, California to Louisville, Kentucky two years in a row.

What's the oddest Christmas present you've ever received?

(And a big LOL to you, PF). ;)

Oddest, cheapest? My ex-mother-in-law was rich and gave me a candle in the shape of a poinsettia :rollseyes: Then again, she gave my ex a shaving kit two years in a row.

How long does it take you to get ready for work?

:D

Four days out of the week, it's approximately 15 steps between bed and desk.

The other day, it's between an hour and a half and an hour and 45 minutes.

Do you like your job?

Teaching kids with Autism and getting results!
