Waffle House. Need I say more?

Neige 11-24-2009 03:51 PM

I'm making a sweet roasted ham for us and Wilderness's parents. Garlic mashed potatoes and roasted veggies on the side, and molasses bread. And I made zucchini bread for dessert!

Pita 11-24-2009 04:48 PM

Were going to Jason's Deli for their terrific salad bar.

jseal 11-24-2009 05:16 PM

Leftovers from Sunday's Beef Roast.

Neige 11-25-2009 10:06 AM

There's plenty of leftovers! ;)

Oldfart 11-25-2009 06:51 PM

I didn't go to the Waffle House you guys. We went to Applebee's.

PantyFanatic 11-25-2009 08:10 PM

She's just saying that because she enjoys teasing almost as much as I like being teasted.

Well you drove into their driveway. Close enough.

Lord Snow 11-25-2009 10:47 PM

Tonight I had take out Chinese food. Egg Foo Young.

Oldfart 11-25-2009 11:51 PM

Wot Kung Foo Wot?

scotzoidman 11-26-2009 12:40 AM

Honey Baked Ham, chicken, homemade cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, green beans, for dessert there's chess pie, fudge pie, & boiled custard.

Oldfart 11-26-2009 01:37 AM

Hmmmmmmm, Chess Pie.

Google tells me it's a Custard Pie (yummo) with the possible substitution of real corn flour.

Mmmmmmmmmm.

dicksbro 11-26-2009 04:35 AM

For lunch, roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, corn or green beens, "coke salad," pumpkin pie, a new batch of "Kalter Hund," a good wine, and the fellowship of our kids and grand-children! And, as a special treat, it'll be at our daughters in Plainfield so we're not doing all the cooking! :)

nwnnguy 11-26-2009 10:36 AM

Most likely Chinese food, no classic thanksgiving dinner for me as I have been off work for 2 and 1/2 hours now and should be in bed....

jseal 11-26-2009 11:51 AM

Around four this afternoon, fifteen to dinner of roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, creamed spinach, sauerkraut, red cabbage, and rolls. Wine for those who want.

GusAspar 11-26-2009 12:05 PM

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends across the Pond, but I think I'll be having good old British fish and chips tonight!

Bingo. Never made it myself, but I know that cornmeal, eggs, a lot of sugar, & a hint of vinegar make it a real sweet-tart of a pie.

Growing up Southern I keep forgetting that much of the world is unfamiliar with this little slice of heaven. How we've kept it a secret (with grits inexplicably getting all the attention) is a mystery. I practically lived on it for lunch during my high school years.

Lilith 11-27-2009 06:00 PM

Roasted veggies (red potatoes, sweet potatoes, yellow squash, green pepper, and onion) served over a bed of whole wheat rice with a good dash of szechuan sauce to spice it all up.

Lord Snow 11-27-2009 10:20 PM

What's for dinner? That's a really good question - why didn't I think of it before, and then I might have had something organised by now!
