Actually this is a case of improvement. The synthetic cork can be produced with more uniform and better properties for the application than the natural product. There are no two pieces of cork exactly alike.

Neige 05-21-2010 04:09 PM

Tonight I am making a clam chowder, and I've made cinnamon rolls for dessert!

Neige 05-26-2010 04:10 PM

Tonight I'm making shakshuka. I'm going to serve it with corn on the cob and home fries.

GusAspar 05-27-2010 04:58 PM

Haddock and chips from the local chippy, washed down with a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio

Neige 05-27-2010 05:19 PM

I loved my clam chowder I made last week so much that I made more tonight!

Lilith 05-27-2010 05:23 PM

Pancakes and sausage

Oldfart 05-27-2010 05:59 PM

We were evil.

We had a pumpkin and sweet potato ( aka kumara) soup with a capful of Cointreau, fresh nutmeg and a dollop of cream.

Lilith 05-27-2010 06:15 PM

sounds glorious.

Oldfart 05-27-2010 06:19 PM

It was. A couple of slices of very fresh bread and that was dinner.

Neige 05-28-2010 05:32 PM

We had take-out donairs.

PantyFanatic 05-28-2010 06:04 PM

Sounds like something a Frenchman would carry-away from Tim Hortons.

Neige 05-28-2010 06:10 PM

My dialect confusing you? ;)

Donair!

dicksbro 05-28-2010 06:16 PM

We had too much snack food at the movie so I think we're just going to have a good salad for supper.

PantyFanatic 05-28-2010 06:27 PM

That doesn't look like a donut to me. More like a gyro. :bite:

:roflmao:

PantyFanatic 05-30-2010 07:14 PM

Neige 05-31-2010 08:21 PM

I had bacon & eggs and a carrot. :D

Lord Snow 05-31-2010 10:05 PM

Kind of an odd combo. Though I do have a cousin that like her eggs over medium and dips a pickle in the egg yoke. She did this long before she had a child.

PantyFanatic 06-03-2010 09:06 PM

SOME HOW, I got the taste for gyros last week and picked up another on on my way home tonight. :bite:

Oldfart 06-03-2010 09:37 PM

You'll end up with a gearloose if you're not careful.

We had wedding guest food tonight, a friend's daughter got married at a local Crocodile farm. Some of the wedding guests were a little touchy.

PantyFanatic 06-05-2010 09:58 AM

Married at a Crocodile farm?!?!

Sounds like another Aussie tradition I wouldn't have thought of.

Lord Snow 06-05-2010 10:18 AM

I bet alligator tastes better than crocodile though.

Lilith 06-05-2010 10:55 AM

I'm making grilled orange terriaki glazed chicken thighs, fried rice and gingered carrots.

Meat from the crocs is sold at the farm. It's OK, but I wouldn't go past a steak to get to it.

Wedding Venue is a new direction for the farm, but it was OK except for the occasional waft of 'eau d'effluence'. They're beautiful creatures.

PantyFanatic 06-05-2010 06:38 PM

They are much closer to perfection than we are.

Lord Snow 06-05-2010 08:05 PM

Considering their design hasn't changed all that much since their prehistoric ancestors, you might be right on that. Alligator tail tastes kind of like turkey to me. I had it once while visiting South Carolina before moving there. I agree, I'll stick with beef. After all, it's what's for dinner.

Neige 06-09-2010 02:52 PM

I think I'll make a haddock chowder, once I get back from choir practice.

Neige 06-10-2010 03:54 PM

My haddock chowder last night was fantabulous.

Tonight I'm roasting a chicken!

I found an even better link... this is what we have locally: Yumminess!

Though I must say I haven't had it with hot sauce before.

PantyFanatic 06-11-2010 09:20 PM

Guess what I have a taste for again? :bite:

Lord Snow 06-11-2010 09:33 PM

Neige or Lil? Who doesn't?.....oh wait, you meant food......

I had a sandwich. Wasn't that hungry for an appropriate dinner.

Neige 06-11-2010 09:38 PM

I had a chicken, bacon and tomato sandwich.
