Apparently the path went just south of us (about 5 miles). Thank heavens for that. Not sure if any tornado actually set down or was close to any structures but the conditions were apparently right for one and a "warning" generally means one was sighted.

Air quality is rated as "good", but the pollen count is "very high" for grass, and the UV index is also "very high (10/16).

Boy, was yesterday's forecast messed up. No mowing … lots of rain through most of the day and when it quit it the ground was still wet and so the mowing got cancelled for the day.

We'll try again today. Right now (12:30am) it's 65F with clear skies heading up to 84F with sunny skies. Probability of rain is at 0% until almost midnight tonight and then only 30%. Hopefully that'll give me the opening I need although it's a bit warmer than I prefer.

Oh well, I guess a little rain falls on everyone … and, our grass is stilll green but showing just a tad bit of restraint in growing. We've been pretty dry for a while now. Corn is really shooting up after our worrying that it was getting almost too late to get the crop in. Probably won't be a record year, but at least not the horrible failure that we were concerned about. Soybeans, too, and springing up pretty well.
