If your attic is like mine, I'm surprised you found your way out. Or did you use the bread crumb trick?

PantyFanatic 12-04-2011 02:28 PM

Didn't need the bread crumbs. I only dug 20 minutes deep. Barely under the surface.

You didn't even make it through the crust. You still have the mantle before you reach the core.

Watch battery went dead last night about 9:30PM (that's the time it has on it). :(

Oldfart 12-07-2011 03:10 AM

The "SYSTEM"

Yep, another rant from your friendly Pixie member. :D

I've been sitting on this since the first of the month and it has not dimensioned in irritation so it's time I share it with my Pixie family.

When my granddaughter turned into a 'legal' adult under the laws of my government, I, for a number of reason/lessons, attempt to give them a passport as their birthday present. The 'hoped' implications of this I'll discuss in another thread, but our 'SYSTEM' is the point of major PISS-OFF now.

After acquiring the proper legal forms and having her parents fill in and supply the supporting documentation, I scheduled a lunch with her and went to the prearranged setting for the needed passport photos. After a polite lunch and kibitz about her new status in the worlds view, we went to the US post office (the 'official application accepting agent') to apply for a US passport from the US Department of State for a US citizen. The only issue was they would NOT accept US currency for the processing fees. :hair: That's right! The US government, working through all and only it's US government departments WILL… NOT… ACCEPT… US MONEY… for exclusive US government business. :banghead:

They will take personal checks processed through any commercial bank. They will accept any commercial credit card. They will accept money orders from any commercial issuing company or are even willing to 'SELL' you a postal money order of their own in exchange for US currency, but they will NOT accept US money unless it is processed through a profit making/charging organization that is suppose to be separate from my government.

Does this piss me off? You bet your fucking ass it DOES!!!!

Is this some bizarre fixation on having an audit trail in case you turn out to be Osama bin PantyFanatic?

They'll take cash to buy the scrip which will let you pay the fees, so it can't be one of those "cash shall not sully this transaction" things.

Alas, yes. Cash leaves no trail.

Oldfart 04-30-2012 06:49 PM

Unless you subscribe to the myth that the metallic thread in money can be used like the magnetic strip on credit cards to encode information, act as a tracker and talk to satellites.

This is distinct from the myth that the eye on dollar bills is a printed camera for keeping an eye on the masses.

Marked bills?

Yo! Conspiracy Theories Über Alles!

Oldfart 04-30-2012 07:29 PM

It's only a theory when it's wrong. LOL

It's amazing the crap some people can be talked into.
