Rare... semi-charred on the outside and barely warmed up on the inside.
Medium rare is good for me too

Just in time for Memorial day weekend.. I have to go with charred on the outside, barely warm on the inside..I'll be picking up a lot of them today, to stock up..
if I have steak ... I'd prefer it be ground first ... (not a big fan of steak - but I love beef) ... and then cooked ... medium ... though I'm ok with medium rare or medium well also. :D
just drag it across the grill for me is all
Medium Well for me thanks, with lots of sauteed onions and mushrooms, and some spicy steak sauce! :D

I helped to grill some awesome T-bones the other day and they were moo-ey and juicy
medium, and cooked professionally, and paid for by someone else :)
Make mine bloody. I want to be able to put a couple of bandaids on it and set it back out to pasture.
Mmmmmm, mine would be rare, or medium rare.
There's a place here called Las Nazarenas and they have a bife de chorizo that is HUUUUGE!!! It's about as big around as a trade paperpack (not a pocket paperback) and about 4cm thick! Oh, and then the tira de asado, which are a cut of beef ribs. Mmmm, mmm. Another good place to eat is Cabaņa las Lilas, but it is a bit expensive. It's 3:30 am, I can't sleep, and now I'm hungry!! |
dont like steak ..quickly backs out of thread before the stones get thrown

nikki1979: Heh, beef is much, much cheaper here than chicken or pork. I can buy an entire beef tenderloin (about 2kg) for $45 pesos (about $22 Canadian dollars). I think that makes it about 16-17 US dollars. But then, there are less expensive cuts than tenderloin.
What is funny is that they really don't do much of the vegetarian thing here. I have some friends and they are vegetarians, not vegans, and we go to restaurants and they ask for things (salads, pizzas, etc.) that look like they will be vegetarian. Without doubt, they often come with ham on them. When they call the waiter back to tell him that they don't eat meat, they always so nicely reply that there isn't any meat in it. If it's not beef, it's just not meat :) |
Brown through, but still tender and juicy.
Bibi, mushrooms? |
Medium, please! :slurp:

I'm a medium rare guy usually. I won't send it back if it's rare but if it's too close to well done then I'm gonna have to ask the chef to give it another try.
Rare and I will send it back if it isn't rare. Nothing better than rare prime rib, au jus and hot horseradish!
Rare to medium Rare, other wise it like shoe leather
Used to know a fellow who would say, wipe it's nose and wipe it's arse and then walk it past the grill. |
ROFLMFAO!
I love how these threads pop up from time to time! OK...Long, long time ago (before I knew of eboli or ecoli or whatever!) I used to take burger from it's package and put most in the pan or make burgers or balls for sketti or make a loaf...and I'd save a skinch for me to eat raw. I'd sprinkle salt on a balled up rawness and pop it in my mouth and hide the fact from family and friends! Don't care now who knows...but I AM a cave woman before fire was founded! I don't eat raw beef, chicken, or pork now...but I LOVE fresh, raw tuna! I eat my meats rare to med. rare...depending on the meat. In other words...it's dead already so just kill the bacteria and give it back to me! OMG..."She's a man eater"! |
Pink in the middle and juicy.
