i was catching up on old threads i've missed and saw that last week yet another poor soul didn't know how to pronounce a certain pixie's nic. just to get us all on the same page with this most confusing dilemma it's oh-soosh

I think it's still sort of up for interpretation.

Sometimes I go with: OH.........shay

Sometimes: O-S-U Cheeee

Sometimes I drop the "S" and "E"altogether and just go with: ouch! That was only the one time though when she posted about strap ons. :D

Most of the time I just go with: Cool! she's posted something again! :D

An absolute sweetheart no matter how you pronounce it. :loveshowe:

I kinda like the French pornunciation...O-sue-shay.

As an acronym, I'm not convinced it was ever meant to be pronounciation friendly.

I've always imagined it as o-SU-che'.

I have always thought of wyndhy as "windy".

I've always rhymed osuche with "cartouche".

Nobody else says "Oh-such"? I guess I saw the 'e' as silent. O-soosh makes more sense but I doubt I can pronounce it that way after all this time.

I'm also very biased and pronounce it 'when dee'. ;)



The pronunciation I hear used most often is 'oh such'. My first impulse is to say 'Ohio State University Chemical Engineer' but it comes out as 'YUMMY' every time. :slurp:

there isn't any pronunciation that i would consider a slurp...er, slur, anyway so call me whatever you wish. :D
