I thought I would start a thread for Frequently Asked Questions.
I know there is on on the site...but there might not be the question you need answering :D

So if you have any questions pertaining to the rules, chat room, forums...anything at all please post it here or you can Pm us.

Never used the chat room so maybe one of you kind folks can explain how it's used. For example, how do you know when there are people visiting in the chat room and how do you use the screen that pops up at the top of the page? Select "Pixies Place" under Channels, but what else? Thanks!

Hi, Diva. Thanks for the note. Still confused a bit. Attached is the "window" I get when I hit the "Chat Now" button. Don't get a screen asking to download MIRC or see a list of signed on "chatters." I was going to reply to the PM but found no way to attach the image of the window.

Ok..that is the chat window. You don't see a security certificate pop up? You have to click on yes....If you don't, then I Think that you don't have Java enabled on your browser...I think...LOL..Maybe Legend or Lil know more about it.
But I get the little security thingy all the time...and i click yes then I am in the chat room. LOL

That and i have found that sometimes you need to click on the list of channels at the top and choose pixies from there. But you do have to click yes to open the window to chat.

also you could be there and it is empty...i try to stay there 24/7:D:D...next you want to try pm me as ya go!!!!

I have a similar prob like dicksbro. But I can start chatting, that works. I only would like to get an instruction for the lot of buttons of the chat window. Any help page existing?

use the click and see method...lol. actually the only buttons you can use are under Nickserv and Memoserv (i think). Really, the only buttons you need are:
Register - to register you nickname and keep others from using it and
Identify - to identify you as the owner of a nickname using the password you created when you registered your nickname.

They are pretty self explanatory, but when you're in chat, just ask someone there and they'll tell you.

I just click and I'm there. Sort of a reverse Dorothy.

I've noticed that some threads get star ratings. Does this happen at a certain number of replies or views? Most threads I've seen don't even have a place for you to rate the thread.

vgavoy - if you scroll down the page, almost at the bottom right of the page, there's a drop down menu with the title of "Rate This Thread". Select a rating and click go.

All threads can be rated with the exception of the "Amateur Picture Section". That feature was removed a long time ago as not to offend any of the posters with a "worst rating"...and so on...

But Legend is right..bottom right you can find the drop down menu for rating a thread!:)

I just wanted to say that if any one is trying to work on custom avatars and needs help to just pm me....I can try to help out.....and if you have one and have trouble loading it I can help there as well. Do not be afraid to ask!!!!!!:D:D:p

just a quick one on thread ratings, does it depend on the number of people reading and rating the site or does it show stars once a certain number has been reached? :)

Good question....I was just playing around rating and I think it may be a certain #....

shhhhhhhhhhh.....don't tell anyone....but I dunno the answer....I will find out though:D:D:p

To anyone interesed there is a way to edit a post, such as a spelling error or to make a change in a smut game. At the bottom of your post you will see a gray area that say "edit" it will let you make changes to your post if done in the specified time limit. I do not know the time limit, mabye Legend or Lilith or Kim can give us an answer.
