43 years
 

No, it's not my wedding anniversary. That won't be til' next month. But 43 years ago tomorrow, I met the most wonderful person in the world on a blind date. We went to a movie ... but I don't even remember the name. I think it's because she was the star and my eyes were fixed on her. Just wanted to share that with you. Next month, we'll celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. I'm just awfully happy this evening and wanted you to know.

Congradulations, dicksbro! That is truly wonderful. :) My parents will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year, and they're still going strong. Can't say that about too many couples. Your wife most definitely is a lucky lady to have someone like you in her life, and, I dare say, vice versa I'm sure. :)

I just loved reading your story! It is sad to say that in this day and age it is so rare, that I don't think I personally know anyone who still feels that way about their spouse after that many years. Congratulations and thank you for reaffirming my belief in "magic".:D
