Profiles, bay-bee! Fill 'em out, PLEASE!
 

So I get these kind notes here and there from folks, or take a shine to something someone says in a thread, and I get a notion to look this person up and see what I can learn about them. Imagine my disappointment to see a blank profile. Boo. Hoo.

Now, I understand a person's desire for discretion in a place such as this, but for the love of all that's good and unholy, is gender and birthdate (not day, date) too much to ask?

I'd like to know if you're a he, a she, or some combo thereof. And I try to avoid robbing the cradle too much, but I haven't been entirely successful. Hell, I'd even be thrilled with a polite "woman of a certain age" or "distinguished gentleman."

As for the rest, it's nice to know if someone's in your neck of the woods, and what they like, and what have you, so you might strike up a conversation with him/her.

So I guess I'm asking for folks to reconsider their empty profiles.

Anyone else feel this way, or am I just too frickin' nosy? (The answer could well be both--I fully admit to the latter failing.)

I wonder if they mean to get back to the profile later . . . after viewing the pics . . . after the next wank . . . later . . .

I agree 100%. I hate looking up someone to find out nothing.

I could only give month and day for my birthday. We didn’t have numbers yet when I came into existence. I heard somebody say, “Let there be light!”. ;) LOL



Good point Red.:) I’m not one for filling out one bit of info that isn’t necessary most of the time, and have often canceled doing something when I felt they just wanted too much before I could even get into a site. But I think that after seeing how Pixies is run and what it is about, it would help very much to contribute to a pool that we all do get benefit from.:)

I agree AZ! We don't want to know EVERYTHING about you (Well maybe some of us do ;) ) but it would be especially helpful to at least have a birth year. Some of us who are "of a certain age" would rather not rob the cradle, so to speak. And some nicks are rather ambiguous so at least stating whether you are Male or Female would be most helpful.

Oh hell, I knew there was something I meant to do the day after I signed up. Can't imagine what around here kept me so distracted for so long ;).

Actually, I just never look at the profile pages....never realized that mine might seem, well, hollow. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who just didn't think about it. Still, I predict a blooming of profiles now that they know folks are peeking. After all, what pixie can resist putting on a show for peekers ;).
