another question
Let's say you're in court to defend a charge. You know you didn't commit the crime, but there is a good case against you. Would you plead guilty to lessen the sentence, or plead innocent and take the heavier sentence?

This topic is an interesting one that I've recently pondered because of a prominent settlement between the State of Connecticut and a man wrongfully imprisoned for 18 years of a 45 year sentence. He was exonerated after DNA testing (which wasn't available at the time) proved that semen on the victim's clothes was not his. He maintained his innocence the entire time. |
I'd sure be pissed if I were him. There's no amount of money that can restore the time he lost.
