There can't be too many other States like Victoria that get a public holiday so some horsies can run around in a circle!
The big question, Alasse, is how come you didn't come down and watch the race?? There's a few Pixies down here could have shown you an' Bilbo what we mean by the famous Melbourne night-life.... you don't even need to leave your hotel room for it 
But yeah, it's good that Makybe won. I heard also that she was the only horse to win the Cup carrying that much weight, too. Or the only one in 30 years or something.
