The American Revolution, the French Revolution, the Russian, and Chinese Revolutions are more easily described as being driven by ideals than by religious zeal. It seems that much of the 20th century was spent examining the differences between Capitalism and Communism. Sometimes the contrasts involved violence, and sometimes not.
