I actually considered this when it was proposed to me once....so I'm gonna say it didn't really get a no, it just never got a yes!

"I lost my phone number, may I have yours?"

It thought it was kinda cute and I had never heard it before (and I've heard a million of um!)....but I was involved with someone and couldn't say yes. LOL!
