Oldfart/dicksbro - I'm fairly sure the bird is a buzzard; there are a lot of them round that area, and we saw a breeding pair back in the summer a few miles away from our old caravan!
Ladies - it is a lovely spot, I'm just sorry my photography skills don't match up to showing you just how lovely!
