An email update about my friend who has spent the better part of the last month and a half in the hospital. They released her to home care last night. She's still using the feeding tube and is on IV antibiotics but she's out of the hospital.

And my doctor shaking his head and saying to me, "Well, looks like the antibiotic is working. No need to send you to St. Luke's." Gave me a little smile too but not as large as the one from the news of my friend.
