I've definitely climbed trees ... even cherry trees. When we lived in Germany back in 1947-50 we had a cherry tree in our yard and every summer we'd pick the cherries fresh (by the washtub full) and our German neighbors and us would gorge on them; or, have cherry pies made; or, we kids would have "cherry fights."
