Another thing that I would suggest, depending on the type of well you have and well pump.

Check the well seal and screen in the well vent. The seal shouldn't have any type of leaks in it at all and the screen should be intact or present. During certain times of the year (season changes) insects and small larvea can enter your well system and that could have been your problem since your test came back negative.
