Eliza, I can tell you from experience that there is not a single blessed stich of clothing underneath that kilt. The night I made that observation will be seared into my memory forever....not to mention the nickname I still can't shake from it...."Buckle"(just imagine what the big buckles that hold those lovely kilts up do to a girls forehead)
