Whilst I risk attack, I believe some of you are missing the message here.
The young man who caused these devastating injuries to a beautiful young woman would have agreed to take part in this campaign in order to demonstrate his remorse for what he had caused.
A couple of beers would probably not have made him an illegal driver in the UK, and the message is clear that you should not take any alcohol, not because it impairs your stopping tme in this instance, the impact seems such that the reaction time lost would not have stopped an accident. Rather the decision to drive in the first place and clearly at inappropriate speeds for an inexperienced driver.
Please don't advocate torturing people who have made dreadful mistakes for which they feel remorse, the world is full of people who feel absolutely no remorse and casue many fold more suffering with impunity.
And please, don't drink and drive.
