I've gone 6 months...but I guess I didn't think of it as some horrible hardship. I was getting over the end of a relationship and needed some "just me" time. Not to say I didn't start doing some serious flirting while I was having my "me" time...but I didn't want to take it beyond that until I was healed.

Still, I guess a voluntary abstinance is easier in some ways....at least you know you have the option to end it.
