Driving along in my automobile...

So I got to thinking about my first car this morning...it wasn't nice, it wasn't new, but it was paid for (didn't appreciate that then!) and it drove. It was a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am. i kind of miss the shitbox.

what was yours?

1962 Ford Falcon. Used to treat that car like a baby. Always washed and waxed. Even the engine well and trunk were spotless. Loved that car ... but, with 75,000 miles, it's engine was not doing so well. When we traded it in for a used Fairlane wagon, it sold the same day off the lot.

So far, I've always driven my parents' cars... Last year, in med school, I almost bought myself one but now I am so glad I didn't, I could never afford it!
