Can I panic yet???

After my NST, which went well, again thankfully, James asked my OB if they were still planning on doing my c/s at 36 wks(because of the diabetes they won't let me go past that)--he said yes, BUT that by the end of this month the specialists will probably want to schedule me for an amnio to determine how developed Bryleigh's lungs are. And if they're developed enough, they'll schedule my c/s before 36 wks! As James said, we could be having my baby shower AT THE HOSPITAL!! Especially seeing as my shower is scheduled for June 2nd, and I'll be 36 wks on June 13th! So it could be anytime at that point.

I'm just SO not looking forward to someone coming at my belly with a big freakin' needle! It's hard enough dealing with the nightly insulin shots and being needle phobic.

thank you dear. I appreciate the words of comfort. It seems like every docs visit they say something else to freak me out at this point. Oy! Having my tubes tied during this one seems more and more of an idea...

It's a procedure that is necessary for the wellbeing of your baby.

Keep remembering that and it's amazing what you can put up with.

In the meantime, we're thinking of you.

My friend had to have an amnio and she was very frightened too, but she said it was nowhere near as bad as she was expecting. They were really lovely about it and she had a nurse there whose sole purpose was to hold her hand and be supportive, so try not to fret about it too much.
