Flight Lieutenant Terry Clark, one of two surviving veterans of the Battle of Britain, died Thursday, 7 May, 2020, the eve of the 75th Anniversary. One of the last 'few".
 
But for all the seeming sadness of him not to get to see the 50th Anniversary of V-E Day, there is this: he was there for the first one, and got to se his efforts to defend Britain fulfilled.

	| Think about this: it's been as long now since the end of the Second World War as about the same time between the end of the US Civil War (1865), and the beginning of World War II (1939, making it closer to 74 years, but you get the idea.)
