You really do. At least with the eyebrows, they are very quick, and, to me, worth it. I wouldn't dare touch my face with tweezers. That's much more painful to me...or, at least, more drawn out.

Some salons will give you a soothing gel to use that has analgesic in it after....but easy home remedy is Anbesol. Use it before you pluck...helps to numb a bit.
