I made some garlic bread so far... if I'm hungry enough later I may have something else.

Homemade fish cakes (striper...made similar to Maryland crab cakes)...with homemade cocktail sauce.
Thawed, chopped spinach (drained and pressed to get out all moisture) not cooked, not fresh (cause it just doesn't get the same texture)...with chopped hard boiled eggs and mayo. It's a cool spring/summer side dish. Season to taste. I use Miracle Whip so it doesn't need any other seasoning.
Left over homemade potato/corn soup with left over asparagus cut into bite size pieces (so as not to waste it). I'll serve this as an appetizer[ish] thingy.
Mr. Lixy thanks me after every meal (to this day) but he especially loves the spinach/chopped egg thing...even though it looks like ICK when blended! When I first made it for him I thought I'd never get him to try it because of the look alone. He braved it and took a bite and has been hooked ever since!

Well, I'll be going out with a buddy and his girlfriend and it's all you can eat Alaskan walleye night so I'm thinking I'll get a burger or something. Not big on the thought of all I can eat walleye.

I made a soup with a bit of everything in it : split peas, dehydrated veggies, garlic, mushrooms, tomatoes, pasta, herbs & chicken.
