I had a really nice weekend.

I stuck a piece of rusty wire thru my ankle joint down at the barn yesterday and my ankle is swollen and I can hardly walk.

I need to go pick up 2 kids and I'm not in the mood for it.

There's a large eventing show here every year that my wife and I volunteer for. She's in charge of prizes and the poultice is one of the things each competitor gets in their goody box. It was donated by the manufacturer.

1. Yesterday was a very busy and stressful day here at work. Today, while still busy, should be more stress-free.

1. I took an employment exam tonight that would bring a job at the medical school if I make it to the final hiring round. I felt confident when I walked out.

2. I got a care package from Alaska with a CD full of beautiful scenery pics and some sexy ones as well!

1. I'm pretty darn tired today. I've been here at least an hour early to work every day this week, have stayed late a few nights, and have yet to have a "real" lunch. Man, it's hell to get a few days off, isn't it?

1. I'm going to travel on a bus/subway/bus in extreme heat in the morning to support a friend who's getting an operation George Bush would not approve of. God bless Henry Morgentaler, sez I.

2. I saw my ex for the first time in two days and he looks skinnier than ever & I can't deal with it anymore.

3. I've been looking for new apartments for a clean break from the ex. Alas, I will miss the balcony but perhaps not knowing the dealers & crazies (I saw a crazy old Indian guy shoved HARD by a young Vietnamese dude & tried to stop it but couldn't. When I walked by, the old guy was yelling at the young guy again. I was yelled at by a crazy Aboriginal today because "I didn't warn him my dog was coming" so he could hold his pit bull. Maybe a calmer 'hood is needed.).

1. I've had dinner, emailed some friends...and, with the lack of sleep I've had in the last day or two, I'm thinking an early bedtime is not totally out of the question.

2. A conversation with someone this morning that happened spontaneously has eased my stress level tremendously. I just need to start moving forward with plans--once I've had sleep, of course.
