Did ya get um off kathy1?

The salon will have you soak in acetone for a while, so you can do that at home if you don't want to pay that much.

But, if you've ever removed paint from woodwork you'll know that some of the remover's will take off your polish if you get it on your fingers. Take care to read the labels...but if all else fails, go to a harware store (or a Home Depot type place) and read the directions for all the paint removers. Some will take off layers of paint without damaging the wood below. Some will damage skin if left on too long (so don't use those), but some are not harmful to the skin...and the label will say so. If you put a nail in the remover and there is a place to pry up an edge...let it get under there soak for a few moments. Pry till it catches again and then soak again. Don't keep tugging at it if it has hold of your natural nail. It HAS to come away easily or you could permanently damage your natural nail. I know this to be true because I have damaged two of my nails to the point where they will never grow out without a sliver of nail peeling back to the cuticle and leaving a divot on the surface (hard to explain...but it's permanent).

Just be careful of what you use and how you use it...but I know some of these removers will work for your nails much better than acetone.

And if everything you've tried fails...try mixing up a shitload of ground beef for meatloaf! Those nails cannot resist popping off in the meat mixture. And then they hide in it so that you think it's not there, but went sailing across the floor, and one of your dinner guests will find it when he/she crunches down on it! Should this happen...be on stand-by with a really neat prize and tell them they are the winner of the "Find the Fake Nail in the Meatloaf" contest!!!! It almost always stops people from having the feeling that they are gonna puke!! *giggle*

Lotso luck hun!

Didn't work. She had some meat balls to play with for three weeks and the nails didn't fall off! :wiggles:
