I guess I should add that I have NEVER subscribed to the idea that properly fitted eyewear detracts from the attractiveness of a woman...& as evidence I offer Mrs Zoid, who has been wearing glasses since 4th grade, & whom I have made regular passes at for well over 3 decades now...

Ms Parker probably was very insecure, her love life was reportedly turbulant, & she did attempt suicide more than once...

Perhaps many women feel unattractive when wearing glasses or wear them when they're busy studying for a final or whatever and might unintentionally makes themselves appear less aproachable.

I believe that saying was most likely copy written the same day the developer of the contact lens filed for a patent.

I don't know, I've had plenty of men tell me how sexy my glasses are ... course I'm still single and they aren't really beating down my door.

I always thought that a lady wearing glasses was lucky. When she wakes up in the morning, and I'm there beside her, I'm just a big fuzz.
Are glasses sexy? Sexy is an attitude. If the person wearing the glasses feels sexy, then they will come across as sexy. The glasses do not effect the ability to tease, to romance, to show love, and to make love. Those are all the attributes of the person wearing them.

The quote just relates to a juvenile attitude.
The dilation of the pupil is a sign of how aroused a woman is, along with some flushes
and swellings.
A woman's eye seen through strong glasses is magnified and the pupil seems larger
than normal, giving the illusion of arousal and desirability.
