If I recall from my Invertebrate Zoology class, that urine on jelly fish stings takes the sting out.

Got roaches? Plaged with ants? Boric acid will do the trick. Just sprinkle it under your sink or where ever they enter your house. I once baught a tiny box with Chinese writing all over it. Inside were two pieces of chalk made from boric acid. After seeing a trail af ants in the garden,I drew a circle around their trail. the ants o the outside scurried away from the circle,the ones inside the circle would not cross it to get free. Oddly enough,boric acid diluted in water makes a great eye wash as well.
