Lots of good stuff to think about. Too bad I can't find a liquor store that offers free samples. How much fun would it be to go to a place like that?
I'm thinking I may go with Maker's Mark simply because I know he hasn't tried that one before. I'm also pretty sure that I'll take a bottle of Turkey over for Thanksgiving, I know he likes that. What could go better with mashed potatoes and stuffing than Turkey?
Not sure I could handle osuche's suggestion of whiskey in my morning coffee though. Knowing me, I'd end up drinking the whole damn pot and staying online here all day long and end up completely drained of bodily fluids. Then again I've done that without the help of whiskey in my coffee on more than one occasion too.

Hmmmm......what a dilemma......my own personal taste leans to JD or Turkey.........but i had a thought....
How about if you go to the liquor store and purchase a butt-load of those lil' mini-bottles in all kinds of flavors and brands. Maybe even a couple of each......let him taste a bit of it all.....or at least the ones you think he may like.

OMG, that one just hit me between the eyes like a two by four.
Sometimes my grasp of the obvious isn't what it should be. That sounds like a good project for me later on today. Thanks for the idea Kathy.

Now you know why I don't have a cat anymore
Seriously....I am a cheap date. One scotch or a glass of wine and I am tipsy as heck.

Hmmmm, not entirely sure what my friend ended up thinking of the Maker's Mark but I just got myself a bottle of it a couple of weeks ago and I've gotta say it's pretty tasty.
I don't drink a whole lot anymore (well, Saturday night was a dreadful exception) but I believe I could develop a taste for it. Still stick with my Glenlivet for scotch though.
