I carried a friend home after school one day. In his drive there was a concrete slab that was about 4 inches high. He told me to watch it, but it was too late. As he got out, he saw that there was something leaking. My oil pan was busted. Being the redneck that I am, I found......what else.....the redneck's best friend......DUCT TAPE! I taped the gaping hole in the oil pan with about 15 layers of tape, filled the thing with oil, and headed for home. I managed to make it around 20 miles to a road that my cousin lived on before the oil light came on. I pulled over and popped the hood, and another friend of mine popped the hood, and the dumbass removed the oil cap to pour in oil. Oil covered the engine and started a fire. Luckily we got it out, and I managed to get the car to my cousin's where I called my dad to come pull me in to the house.
