I was on an asronomical site and it gave the julian date as "2,455,215.12171".
At 365 days per year, that means that 6726.6 years have passed since the base date.
What happened in 4716 BCE?

We almost hit a red fox on our way back from the city Friday night. We were out in the middle of nowhere when we saw it though, nowhere near the city.
