I think my kitty Citrouille has an obsession. She sits all day watching the heater pipe where it comes up from the basement into our room. Sometimes she's halfway across the room, but a lot of the time she's nearly got her nose stuck to it. She observes it very intently. It's cute, but it makes me wonder what she's hearing coming from it!

Is it the heat she's reacting to?

Complete surrender should not just come at moments in which one faces overwhelming odds, but in the calm when it seems one is personally in complete control of one's life.

It may be the sound the pipes make as the heat up and cool down... but she isn't always close enough to get any heat from it.

Is there a big enough hole for a mouse to come thru?

Dr. Calvin Rickson, a scientist from Texas A&M University has invented a bra that keeps women's breasts from jiggling, bouncing up and down, and prevents the nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in.
After a news conference, where he announced the invention, a large group of men took Dr. Rickson outside and kicked the shit out of him.

Doing the work of two people barely leaves me with enough strength for my night job.

I woke up at an unholy hour (7:15 am my time) to meet a friend at the gym. I'm going to do it again on Thursday. Unfortunately I've had a major lapse in my working out and dieting so I'm up 10 lbs. from where I started at the beginning of the year.

Yesterday was not only the Melbourne Cup spectacular, but a local affair as well.
A very different day at the races has been won by a green tree frog dubbed Rum Brett Rum.
At the Noonamah Tavern, 50 kilometres south of Darwin, 24 frogs hopped for the coveted Noonamah Cup.
The event has been running for more than 20 years and attracts hundreds of people.
All of the amphibians were auctioned off before the event, with the highest bid coming in at $1,200.
Divided into three heats, their new owners encouraged them to hop to the finish line by spraying water on them.
About $12,000 was raised for charity during the event.
