BlueSwede,
I feel that the accumulated values of a long-term relationship tip the scales away from a transient, or even several transient relationships. There is much attractive flesh out there, and some of it may be within reach. I think that those who stretch out their hand to grasp it run the risk of letting their plans, partner and perhaps children slip out of the other.
In strictly business terms, the liabilities, both emotional and financial, outweigh the potential benefits of enjoying an alternative to what you have enjoyed in the past. Sticking with the business model, perhaps it depends upon the level of investment the partners have made in the existing relationship. If both, or either, discounts the value of the other, it becomes easier to look for value elsewhere.

No matter how attractive the neighbor's fields are, I want to keep my farm, if you get my meaning. I would jump at the chance to help out the farmette owner next door as long as I didn't neglect my crops. So before you saddle up your Cockshutt, make sure that your fields sre well tended.

It's easy....very easy... to be attracted and tempted by a hot body and a pleasing face. But those things are just a person's glove. I love my man's glove, but more than that I love and respect the hand that lives within that glove. I'd never do anything to jeopardize our relationship. He stimulates me in every way.... he knows full well that the brain is the largest sex organ and keeps my brain well exercised, lol.
We've both been around the block a few times and been hurt a few times. We cherish the relationship we have, particularly the level of trust we've found. I'll not do anything to fuck it up.

Beat me to it OF LOL
Often heard the expression "trust the septics to do that"
septic tank = rhyming slang for Yank (which is a broadbrush descrition for all americans, not just the northern states)
Another saying that was a bit sensitive for our american cousins was the term used in the services as U/S - Unserviceable. That was frowned upon but it is still in common use in British & Australian service lingo. It had absolutely nothing to do with the United States BTW.

No this is not true!! It's usually a breakdown of communication between the two. People just like to blame their problems on things other than the obvious! If you get bored ... Do something different!
