I'll try and attend, but at this point I really can't commit either financially or otherwise. I've got many bills to get caught-up on before I can plan on a trip, but damn it sure sounds fun!

Not sure how interested people are in historical or scenic things ... but Peoria is famous for it's Grandview Drive. Teddy Roosevelt called it the "World's most beautiful drive." Flanked by some of Peoria's biggest and most beautiful homes, it's a 2.5 mile stretch that overlooks the Illinois River valley some 450 feet below. Attached are three pictures, two of one of the homes and one of the view of the valley.
Got a feeling there are far more things to do than time to do them, but, I want to know what interests the folks that may come to PAGAN P07.
Oh, yeah, there is a ball game at O'Brien field featuring the Peoria Chiefs. The stadium is a new one and possibly worth a look.

The new stadiums are really "customer friendly" and I know that IowaMan and I would probably be interested in taking in a ball game, but obviously not everyone is into baseball like the two of us, but that would sure kill a couple of hours.

Make sure that there is plenty of time to just sit around and chat.

Good point. We'll be sure to have that on the agenda. I figure like, at Niagara, we'd aim for a Saturday morning "get together breakfast" and a Saturday night dinner together followed by a Sunday morning "Bon Voyage" breakfast for those that can make it. Now, I wonder if Red-Green will be free (or at least inexpensive).

That^^^^^^ is what I was thinking. We seem to enjoy doing just that. The sites at Niagra were cool but the best part was the company.

^^^^ That was fun, wasn't it?
You know what might be fun ... weather permitting ... have of a picnic down by the river where we could visit, enjoy the fresh air, have some fried chicken, potato salad, cole slaw or whatever. Some great parks on the Peoria and E. Peoria sides to do that if something like that sounded good.

Yep the sights are fine and dandy but I wouldn't care if we met in a park and had KFC and soda all day. Just want to meet some great people.
Hmmm, KFC and Soda........... is that a pretty good meal Boog?

I'll get some pictures of some of the parks and post them (today's rainy and so maybe it's not a good day to do that). I think this is sounding like a winning idea.

I've seen pics of some of the things that roam those woods.
