P.S. Teddy Bear: A thousand pardons! It is as dicksbro described, a greeting used throughout the Muslim world. It is somewhat formal, along the lines of "Good morning/afternoon/evening". Among close friends and family "Mar Hubbah", akin to "Howdy" is more common.
