Realizing that if I got disabled, I'd get enough money from Social Security that I wouldn't need to work if I lived in Ohio......

Yep.....and I worked out the numbers (being an engineer). If I retire at 70 as they suggest and my earnings continue as currently -- they'd be giving me my money back at a -3.2% interest rate assuming I lived to 85.

Sad, huh?
