I miss my stepdad's 1967 Chevy Impala SuperSport
I keep telling him that because he sold MY car, this is why I never learned how to drive and I am almost 32 LOL

What great memories from reading these posts! Lilith...I too remember my lunch sack filled with those little cylindrical treats, I think marketed as "Space Food Sticks".
Fooie and your Black Jack gum...my favorites from the same company, Beemans, were "Pepsin" & "Clove".
Some of my first fumbling sexual attempts, feels, fondling, and panty peeks; while playing "Twister" at friends homes after grade school was out for the afternoon.
I absolutely miss GOOD MUSIC. Yeh, I know there is still a lot of great material out there, but you have to really dig around for it. I'll never forget my sister taking me to The Hollywood Bowl on July 5, 1968 to celebrate my 10th birthday by seeing my first "rock" concert - The Doors, Steppenwolf, & The Chambers Brothers : ) To quote another "well known" band, ever since "what a long, strange trip it's been"!!!

I must say that I do miss good saturday morning comics. The stuff they have today is just garbage.
And for those of you who really miss the previous decades check out www.yesterdayland.com

"Of all the things I've lost in life,
I miss mind the most."
Movie theaters with a 30 ft. screen and a balcony.
Cars that you didn’t have to look for the logo to tell apart.
Elevator operators that called off the floors.
Serials and Bank Night at the movies.
Street cars on rails where the conductor called out the streets.
(and what’s worse is Steph is riding on MY street car. )
Wooden phone booths and two piece telephones.
Ten cent hot dogs that were sold through a neighbos window.
The “paper-rag” man with his horse wagon that collected junk.
The photographer with the pony that made at least one trip up your street every summer.
When hearing a group play live was intimate enough that the quality was better than the recordings.
(Just thought I’d make some of the other REAL old fucks smile.)

Well, I don't remember the 80's, and there's nothing much to remember about the 90's (that's positive)
But I get nostalgic about my childhood, when I would spend my summer days out in the hot southern sun in the pool with my mom and stepsister, just having fun and not giving a damn about anything. Then we would spend nights between the pool and catching lightening bugs, with my mom threatening to whip us to make us come inside around eleven PM.
THOSE were the best days of my life so far.
